The Product Manager has the content authority for the Program backlog. Is responsible for identification of customer needs, prioritizing of Features and developing the Program Vision and Roadmap. Has a clear view of the business value and cohesion of the to be developed solutions / products. This gives the Product Manager the opportunity (together with Product Owners) to define the de Program Backlog (Features). The PO’s and the different architects analyze and divide the defined Epics in Features
The Product Manager steers the Release Train (together with the Product Owner).
As Product Manager, you decide what gets built first and you own the Product Roadmap. You will serve as the organization’s central point of coordination for all (business or software) product related development. This means working closely with a broad range of colleagues within the Scaled Agile organization. You will also visit partners and customers to truly understand what is needed.
